About the Packard Group

Management Team

The Packard Companies are owned and managed by its two principles, Claiborne Perrilliat and Michael Larousse. In addition to these individuals, the management team includes Michael Larousse, Jr., Frank Sherman, Leslie Daigle, George Klein and Gary Cheramie. This experienced team provides the specialized function of management, sales, accounting, finance, insurance, and administrative support required in the trucking and pipe handling business.

Claiborne Perrilliat

Mr. Perrilliat graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Finance and received a M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He has served the oilfield service industry in the area of administration, insurance, and finance for the last 27 years. He was employed by Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. in the area of logistics, with Acadian Marine, Inc. as Corporate Secretary, and with Jefferson Truck Lines and Pipe Yards as Vice President of Administration and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Perrilliat is one of the owners of the Packard Companies and serves as Chief Executive Officer for the two corporations. He is married and has three children.

Michael Larousse

Mr. Larousse was employed by Jefferson Truck Lines and Pipe Yards for 12 years. During this time he became Terminal Manager with responsibilities that encompassed both the trucking and pipe yard functions. Mr. Larousse has over 30 years of trucking and management experience. His trucking knowledge and expertise are utilized in the day-to-day operations of both Packard Truck Lines, LLC and Packard Pipe Terminals, LLC. Mr. Larousse is one of the owners of Packard Companies and serves as President of Packard Truck Lines, LLC. He is married and has three children.

Michael Larousse, Jr.

Mr. Larousse graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA, in May of 1998 with a Bachelor of Science. He joined the Packard family full-time in July of 2000 as a dispatcher. The following year he assumed the position of Safety Director with extensive training in and knowledge of Federal DOT regulations, including driver logs, driver qualifications, vehicle maintenance requirements, and hazardous materials movement. Mr. Larousse works closely with the Packard terminal managers to ensure the highest level of professionalism and safety for all of the drivers and company employees. This includes new driver orientation and recurrent training. Other duties include the streamlining and constant amending of company policies, forms, and checklists to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations and the continuity of Packard’s excellent DOT status. He is married and has two children.

Frank Sherman

Mr. Sherman is the Controller for the Packard Group of Companies. During his twenty year accounting career, he has concentrated on the informational technology aside of the industry. This expertise allows Packard to continue its commitment to the evolving state of the art for accounting and software systems. Previously, Mr. Sherman served as a controller for a transportation company for ten years. He is an accounting graduate of the University of New Orleans, and he is married with two children.

Leslie Daigle

Mrs. Daigle serves as the Packard Pipe Terminals, LLC manager. With over 40 years of experience of pipe inventory management and control, she brings a wealth of knowledge with superb customer orientation to the Packard organization. Mrs. Daigle has served on the Packard team for the last 26 years. She is well respected in the industry for her expertise and cooperative demeanor. She is married and has two children.

George Cline

Mr. George Cline is responsible for the inventory control for Packard Pipe Terminals, LLC. He has over 40 years broad based experience working in pipe threading, pipe processing, management, and the inventory control of tubular products. Mr. Cline has worked for Hydril, Tube Alloy, & Tubular Threading Companies (T.T.I., Vinson, and Hunting). George has been with Packard for 20 Years. He is married and has two children.

Gary Cheramie

Mr. Cheramie serves as the Regional Sales Manager for the Packard Group; Packard Truck Lines, LLC, Packard Pipe Terminals, LLC., and The Packard Pipe Foreign Trade Zone FTZ. He has over 30 years’ experience in the field of Logistics and Transportation. Mr. Cheramie has worked closely with the port of New Orleans in both the area of import and export of cargo. He has served in the U.S.A. air force in Supply Chain Management. He is married and has three (3) children.

Mr. Joey Bruett

Mr. Bruett first began working at Packard in 1992 as a laborer in the pipe yard and learned the basics of trucking & loading/unloading operations. He was also a hotshot owner/operator with Packard for 5 years and has road experience from the Gulf Coast to the eastern seaboard, as far West as Albuquerque, NM, and as far North as Sturgeon Bay, WI. Joey has been serving as dispatcher for Packard since 2021. He brings with him experience and certifications from refineries, manufacturing, healthcare, security, towboating, and firefighting.”
